• 1977參加亞洲歌唱大賽奪得亞軍(參賽歌曲AMERICAN PIE)加入麗的電視成為合約藝人進軍藝壇，並於1977年出版第一張唱片"Day Dreaming"及於1978年主演第一部電影『紅樓春上春』  

  Joined RTV after winning the First Runner-up at 1977 Asian Song Contest (AMERICAN PIE), released the first album "Day Dreaming" in 1977 and starred in the first movie "Red Chamber" in 1978
  
  
  

• 1982年轉投「華星」唱片公司，於1983年出版首張加盟「華星」之唱片『風繼續吹』，及後於1984年出版之 “MONICA” 大碟成為事業轉捩點並憑此曲取得首個金曲獎。  

  Joined Capital Artist in 1982, released the album "Wind Blows On" in 1983.  In 1984, released the album "MONICA" , a turning point of Leslie's career, and the song "MONICA" also won him the first gold song award
  
  
  

• 1985年8月於紅館舉行第一次個人演唱會 (10場) ，演出首個音樂電影『驚情』
   In 1985, held the first personal concert in HK Coliseum (10 shows) and starred in the first music drama "Mystery Love"
  
  

• 1986年12月於紅館舉行第二次人演唱會 (12場)  
  In December 1986, held the second concert at the HK Coliseum (12 shows) 
  
  
  

• 1987年轉投「新藝寶」唱片公司，並同時簽約「新藝城」電影公司成為合約演員  
  Joined Cinepoly Records and Cinemart City in 1987
  
  
  

• 1988年7月於紅館舉行第三次個人演唱會(23 場)，簽約成為首位「百事可樂」香港區代言人，出版首本個人寫真集 "Stark Impressions"
  In 1988, held the third concert at the HK Coliseum (23 shows), signed a contract with Pepsi for a series of TV Commercials, released the first photo book “Stark Impressions”
  
  
  

• 1989年9月宣佈告別藝壇，並於同年12月舉行33場告別演唱會，期間演出音樂電影『日落巴黎』
  In September 1989, announced his retirement and in December held the Final Encounter Concert (33 shows), also in the same year, starred in music drama “Sunset in Paris” 
  
  
  

• 1991年復出影壇，主演首部復出電影『家有囍事』，同年憑『阿飛正傳』奪得首個香港電影金像獎《最佳男主角電影獎》
  In 1991,  won the first Best Actor Award at the HK Film Award ("Days of Being Wild"), announced his comeback for movies, the first movie being “All’s Well, End’s Well”
  
  
  

• 1992年反串演出之電影『霸王別姬』奪得第46 屆康城影展金棕櫚獎及1994年美國電影金球獎最佳外語片，並於1994年LESLIE憑此片奪得日本影評人大獎之最佳男主角  
  In 1992, taking up a reverse role in “Farewell to my Concubine” which won the  Golden Palm Award at the 46^th International Film Festival de Cannes, the Best Foreign Movie in the US Golden Globe Award in 1994 and also the Best Actor Award by the Japanese Film Critics Society
  
  
  

• 1995年復出樂壇簽約『滾石』唱片公司出版首張復出後唱片『寵愛』
  In 1995, signed contract with Rock Records and released the album "Fondness"
  
  
  

• 1996年與『皇后飯店』老闆合資『為你鍾情』咖啡店 (哥哥於2001年退股)
  In 1996, opened his first coffee shop “wei nin zhong qin” with the boss of Queen’s Cafe (Gorgor retreated in 2001)
  
  
  

• 1996年12月舉行『跨越九七演唱會』(24場) 及展開World Tour 97世界巡迴演出 
  In December 1996, held his concerts at HK Coliseum (24 shows) followed by his World Tour Concert '97
  
  
  

• 1999年簽約『環球』唱片公司 ，出版加盟後首張唱片『陪你倒數』，演出音樂電影『左右情緣』
  In 1999, signed contract with UMG, released the album "Countdown with You",  starred in music drama "Left Right Love Destiny"
  
  
  

• 2000年於紅館舉行『熱情演唱會』(13場) 及展開Passion Tour 2000世界巡迴演出，首次替香港電台執導反吸煙電影短片『煙飛煙滅』
  In August 2000, Passion Tour concert at HK Coliseum (13 shows) followed by a series of concerts overseas and for the first time directed a anti-smoking short film "From Ashes to Ashes" for RTHK 
  
  
  

• 2001年於紅館舉行『熱情演唱會『熱情演唱會』壓軸篇』壓軸篇 (6場)
  In 2001, Grand Finale of Passion Tour (6 shows) at HK Coliseum
